Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Precast Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing precast concrete elements to high standards, ensuring quality and safety on site. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in masonry, carpentry, or related trades to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Finishing precast concrete surfaces to specified standards using hand tools and power tools
- Applying finishes, textures, and coatings as required
- Operating welding equipment where necessary to secure components
- Assisting with the installation and assembly of precast elements on site
- Performing heavy lifting and manoeuvring of concrete components safely
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations
- Conducting inspections of finished work to ensure compliance with specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in masonry, carpentry, roofing, or similar trades is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction processes and equipment maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in construction environments
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving is advantageous but not essential
- Physical fitness to work on-site in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
