Redwing Coaches, now part of the Skills Group, are seeking experienced coach drivers to join their team working from our base in Beddington, Croydon.

Available for immediate starts, you’ll be doing a variety of work, including……
- Private Hire trips, both locally and throughout the UK.
- Overnight tours across the UK and Europe.
- Contracted school runs, on a split shift.
- Cruise Ship & Airport transfers.
- Rail Replacement and scheduled services.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles, including coaches and minibuses, in accordance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing helpful information and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and vehicle condition essential for our maintainance.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and management to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, PCV regulations and company procedures to ensure safe transportation at all times
- Report any vehicle faults or safety concerns incidents immediately.
Requirements
- Full UK, category D (PCV) license.
- Valid digital drivers (tachograph) card.
- Current drivers’ certificate of professional competence (CPC) qualification with a card
- Proven experience as a PCV/coach driver, with strong driving skills in all conditions
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle safety checks and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrable knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK
- Experience in customer service or passenger transport is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with a high level of organisation and responsibility
- Be able to demonstrate your eligibility to both reside and work within the United Kingdom
- Be able to be flexible in your working hours and also be reliable. (Some shift can be split, other can extend to over 15 hours (within tachograph regulations).
- Have an excellent driving record, with maximum 3 points and no previous bans.
- No accidents within the last 5 years.
- Minimum 2-years PCV driving experience, preferably within the coaching industry.
- A 5-year checkable work history.
- Able to pass a satisfactory enhanced data barring (EDBS) check.
- Be able to commute to our yard at any time of the day and live within a maximum 1 hour travelling distance.

In return, we offer a full-time contracted position, paying £16 per hour, tour rate of £160 per day and 28 days annual leave per year (incl. bank holidays).
