Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring that patrons enjoy a memorable dining experience. This role requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems or manually.
- Serve meals, drinks, and desserts efficiently while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle payments accurately and process transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas.
- Adhere to food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Assist with setting up tables and preparing the dining area before service begins.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not mandatory.
- Cocktail experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques.
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to maximise sales opportunities.
- Good organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the dining area.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
