Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join our team! Duties
- Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, clothing, and other textiles efficiently
- Perform thorough cleaning of common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and other designated spaces using commercial cleaning tools and supplies
- Ensure all laundry procedures meet health and safety standards while maintaining high-quality hygiene standards
- Restock supplies such as detergents, cleaning agents, and linens as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow established protocols for infection control and sanitation to promote a safe environment
- Assist with light housekeeping duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for immediate action
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles with attention to detail
- Prior experience working in healthcare settings or hospitals is highly desirable
- Knowledge of proper laundry procedures and operation of laundry machinery
- Ability to follow safety protocols and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors
