The Merchant Division at A L King Roofing runs an extremely busy yard at its Melksham premises. It has a long-established customer base including many local roofing contractors and the public, who use the business to source a wide range of roofing supplies. This often involves customers seeking guidance on product quantities required for various slating & tiling and/or flat roofing repairs and projects.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and target driven individual who can provide telephone and face-to-face sales support directly to customers and the yard team on a daily basis.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries from customers on all aspects of roofing supplies.
- Offering product advice and upselling where appropriate.
- Processing of sales orders on the computer accurately.
- Dealing with cash and card transactions.
- General housekeeping duties in the counter and yard area.
- Adhoc tasks as directed.
- Key Personal attributes:
- Sound roofing product and construction knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills with good communication and organisational skills.
- Good administrative skills and basic PC knowledge.
- Reliable with a great work ethic.
- Previous sales experience within a similar environment will be an advantage as will forklift ticket.
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7.00am until 5.00pm . Weekend work on Saturday mornings may be available, paid as overtime, when fully trained.
