Semi-Skilled Carpenter / Multi-Trade
£140–£180 per day depending on experience and ability

EcoBuilders.Green is looking for a Semi-Skilled Carpenter / Multi-Trade to join our growing team.
We are a design-led residential construction company delivering high-quality extensions, renovations, loft conversions, new builds and energy-efficient homes across Essex.
We are building a strong permanent team around the next stage of the company and are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants the opportunity to progress.
This is not purely a carpentry position.
Carpentry will form an important part of the role, but our projects change and we need someone willing and able to get involved across the build.
The Role
You will work alongside our experienced multi-skilled team on high-quality residential projects.
Typical work will include:
- First fix carpentry
- Second fix carpentry
- Studwork and timber framing
- Doors, skirting and architraves
- Flooring
- Insulation and airtightness works
- General building works
- Internal finishing
- Basic making good
- Working from drawings and measurements
- Assisting with different stages of the build
- Supporting specialist subcontractors where required
We don't expect you to know everything.
We do expect you to be useful on site, capable of completing straightforward work without constant supervision and willing to learn the things you don't know.
Who We're Looking For
You should:
- Have good previous construction experience
- Have carpentry experience
- Be competent using hand and power tools
- Be able to work independently on straightforward tasks
- Take pride in accuracy and finish
- Be comfortable working across different trades
- Look after tools and equipment
- Keep your work area clean and organised
- Be reliable and punctual
- Work well as part of a team
- Be willing to learn and develop
A full UK driving licence is preferred.
Pay
£140–£180 per day
Your starting rate will depend on your current experience and what you can genuinely do.
