We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Scrub Practitioner to join our Theatre team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Ilford.

As our Scrub Practitioner, you will be:
- Delivering high standards of patient care and safety throughout the peri-operative journey.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team to ensure efficient and effective running of theatre lists.
- Scrubbing for a variety of procedures and ensuring adherence to all theatre techniques and protocols.
- Monitoring and maintaining standards relating to instrument, swab and needle counts.
- Supporting theatre preparation, equipment checks and infection prevention and control processes.
- Assisting with clinical audits, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Sharing specialist knowledge and supporting the development of junior colleagues and students.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of theatre services.
As an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Operating Department Practitioner with scrub experience, you will also have:
- A minimum of two years’ scrub experience across a variety of specialities, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Gynaecology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
- A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care and service excellence
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy theatre environment
- A proactive approach to learning, development and service improvement
