We are seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate Area Manager to provide operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of care services throughout Dorset.
This is a permanent position, providing leadership, stability and operational support. The successful candidate will oversee a range of services, including:
- Supported Living
- Extra Care
- Day Services
- Community Reablement
- Bedded Reablement
- Registered Residential Services
Working closely with Registered Managers and service leaders, you will drive quality, compliance, performance and service improvement, ensuring exceptional outcomes for the people we support.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership and oversight across multiple services.
- Support, coach and develop Registered Managers and service leaders.
- Drive a culture of high-quality, person-centred care and support.
- Ensure services meet and exceed CQC requirements and regulatory standards.
- Monitor quality, safeguarding, incidents, complaints and risk management processes.
- Support Community Reablement and Bedded Reablement services to achieve contractual and performance requirements.
- Oversee performance within Day Services, ensuring meaningful outcomes and engagement for the people we support.
- Ensure Supported Living, Residential and Extra Care services maintain high standards of care and support.
- Lead service improvement plans and support services requiring additional oversight.
- Monitor occupancy, referrals and service utilisation.
- Analyse operational, quality and financial performance data to drive improvements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with commissioners, local authorities, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
- Support recruitment, retention, succession planning and workforce development.
- Promote continuous learning, accountability and excellence across all services.

About You
Essential
- Significant experience managing multiple health and social care services.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality standards.
- Experience supporting and developing Registered Managers and operational teams.
- Proven ability to improve service performance and quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse performance data and implement improvement strategies.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Dorset.
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience across Supported Living, Residential Care, Day Services, Extra Care and Reablement Services.
- Experience working with local authorities and commissioners.
- Track record of delivering service transformation and improvement.
