JOB OPPORTUNITY: Goods In / Goods Out Warehouse Operative
At The Dutch Maid Company Ltd we specialise in blending and packing high quality dried ingredients into customer own brands for the food service and catering industry. Based in Buxton on the Tongue Lane Industrial Estate, we are looking to hire a full time Goods In / Goods Out Warehouse Operative to join our busy team.
What you will do:
As a Goods In & Goods Out Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of stock throughout the warehouse and production facility.
Goods In Responsibilities
- Receiving, checking and processing incoming deliveries.
- Verifying deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Ensuring stock is accurately recorded and stored in the correct warehouse locations.
- Supplying raw materials and packaging to the factory floor as required.
- Maintaining stock rotation and good housekeeping standards.
- Reporting any damaged or non-conforming goods.
Goods Out Responsibilities
- Accurately picking customer orders in line with picking sheets and dispatch schedules.
- Recording and verifying batch codes to ensure full product traceability.
- Checking picked orders for accuracy, quantity, product specification and presentation prior to dispatch.
- Packing and preparing goods for shipment in accordance with customer and company requirements.
- Producing and completing dispatch paperwork and ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Loading vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to health and safety procedures.
- Ensuring stock movements are correctly recorded and inventory accuracy is maintained.
- Working closely with production and office teams to ensure customer orders are dispatched on time and in full.
- Supporting stock counts and warehouse audits as required.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment where attention to detail, accuracy and a commitment to quality are essential.

- Forklift truck license is essential.
