Gymnastics Coach
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and reliable Gymnastics Coach to join our growing coaching team at Varney's in South Wigston.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a thriving family-focused academy that delivers high-quality gymnastics sessions to children of all ages and abilities.
We are expanding rapidly and are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, has excellent communication skills and wants to help build something special within the local community.
You'll coach fun, engaging and structured sessions while helping children develop confidence, coordination and fundamental gymnastics skills in a safe and positive environment.
As our programme grows, there will be opportunities to increase coaching hours and take on additional responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging gymnastics sessions for preschool and school-age children
- Plan and lead safe, enjoyable classes
- Create a welcoming environment for children and parents
- Ensure equipment is set up safely
- Monitor children's progress and encourage confidence
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- Work closely with other coaches and management
- Help promote classes and contribute ideas for programme growth
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience coaching gymnastics or similar children's sports
- Passion for working with children
- Friendly, enthusiastic and approachable personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- British Gymnastics qualification (or equivalent)
- First Aid qualification
- Safeguarding certification
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
