Location: Shaftesbury and Wincanton Stores
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday - Saturday 8.00-17.00 with a regular day off in the week.

A&R Tiles is a leading supplier of wall and floor tiles, known for quality products and outstanding service. We are recruiting a Sales Assistant to join our team in our Shaftesbury branch.
Job Purpose:
The Sales Assistant will assist in the smooth operation of our Shaftesbury store, delivering excellent customer service and supporting day-to-day activities. This role will based primarily in our Shaftesbury branch, but will require working across both locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product selection, enquiries, and after-sales support to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Operate cash drawers and card payment systems according to company policies, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Support the preparation and packing of customer orders for distribution with proper documentation.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring timely restocking and accurate records.
- Maintain the shop’s premises, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a clean, professional environment.
- Act as a key holder and ensure premises security after hours.
- Collaborate with the team to create a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Required:
- Customer service experience in a retail setting.
- Cash handling and payment system experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic maths working out areas and percentages.
Desired:
- Experience in stock management and order processing.
- Knowledge of tile, flooring, or home improvement products.
Personal Attributes:
- Attention to detail, especially in stock management and store presentation.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- Ability to handle manual tasks, including stock handling and shop maintenance.
- Strong time management and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Focused on delivering outstanding customer service.
