Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented FLT/Reach Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient handling, storage and distribution of materials within our warehouse. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse experience and strong mechanical aptitude to further develop their skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment. The role involves operating equipment, managing inventory and maintaining high safety standards at all times.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods using correct manual-handling techniques and equipment, including forklifts.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, orders and shipments.
- Handle materials safely, following all site safety protocols to avoid damage or injury.
- Maintain organisation within the warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly and work areas remain clean.
- Support stock replenishment and assist with stock rotation as required.Carry out basic calculations for inventory counts, measurements and weight assessments.
- Work collaboratively with team members to improve workflow and overall warehouse performance.
- Skills
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck Licences (essential)
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment (essential)
- Using warehouse scanners (essential)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (advantageous)
- Strong materials-handling skills and understanding of load capacities and safety procedures
- Basic maths ability for inventory and weight calculations
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and prolonged standing/walking
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

Pay: £13.09 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 42.5 per week
