This is an exciting opportunity within our General Haulage department to join a busy team where you will be primarily responsible for delivering orders in a prompt and efficient manner while ensuring all driving regulations and other compliance standards are adhered to.

Responsibilities:
- Delivery and collection of a variety of goods.
- Use various trailer types including flat, curtain and container.
- Securing loads safely and in line with legislation.
- Manual Handling setting up and stowing away pins and bearers on timber flats.
- Complete appropriate paperwork.
- Comply with EU Drivers Hours regulations and Working Time rules.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and HR policies.
- Ensure vehicle is kept clean inside and out, report any faults or damage.
- Ensure PPE and company issue uniform is worn at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous Class 1 driving experience, 2 years or more, off road driving an advantage.
- Valid driving licence, up to date driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
- Availability to night out up to 4 nights per week.
- Physically fit and healthy.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to operate in cab IT software.
- Excellent timekeeping skills.
- Can do attitude and Team player.
- Strong customer care skills.
Training: Full company induction CPC course provided
Basic: £15.50 per hour
Overtime: £18.50 per hour
Sundays: £21.00 per hour
Night out subsistence: £30.00 per night
Typical salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on nights out/hours)
Experience: 2 years preferred
