Depot Manager
Supply2Location Ltd are looking for a Depot Manager to join our team.
We are a leading supplier for the film and television industry, providing hire equipment within film studios as well as on remote film locations.
We are seeking a pro-active and conscientious individual to join our small team based in Caldicot, Wales. The main focus of the role will be to oversea the operational, commercial, and finance performance of the depot. If your a good allrounder who like to still get involved in the warehouse and could communicate with clients such as Disney, Netflix, Universal Films, Paramount, and The BBC etc. This could be the job for you, and experience working within the hire/film and television industry would defiantly give you an advantage.
Duties of a Depot Manager
- Manage P&L, local budgets, pricing and cost control.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety compliance and operational governance.
- Oversee equipment availability, logistics, fleet utilization, and maintenance scheduling with warehouse, drivers & engineers.
- Lead, coach, and develop depot staff, including hire desk coordinators, drivers, and engineers.
- Drive new business growth, build relationships with local and national accounts, and handle customer service escalations.
Qualifications and required skills:
- Proven experience in managing a busy warehouse, transport, or hire depot.
- Good grasp of profit and loss, budgets, and basic business math.
- Clear communication and strong people management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety laws and vehicle compliance rules.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Ability to work under pressure and at the same time maintain standards and perform to expected standards.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft software, Sage, and InspHire.
- Managing correspondence, phone calls, emails, quotations and invoices.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5:30pm
