Locomotive Storage Limited provides railway storage and support services from its facilities at Crewe Diesel Depot. We are seeking a reliable and conscientious Cleaning Assistant to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out cleaning duties across depot offices, welfare facilities, toilets, mess rooms and other designated areas.
Duties will include:
- General cleaning of offices and communal areas.
- Cleaning and sanitising welfare facilities and washrooms.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Replenishing consumables and cleaning supplies.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the site.
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns.
This role involves carrying out manual cleaning tasks, working across different areas of the depot and spending periods of time standing, walking and moving cleaning equipment and materials.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Can work independently and manage their workload effectively.
- Has good attention to detail.
- Has a positive and flexible approach to work.
Previous experience in a cleaning role would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
