Qualification:
- AAT-qualified (or qualified by experience); studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA) is welcomed.
- Technical accounting: sound understanding of core financial accounting, with exposure to IFRS (e.g. IFRS 16) an advantage.
- Reconciliations: strong reconciliations experience across intercompany, factoring and balance-sheet accounts.
- Group reporting: experience of, or a clear aptitude for, reporting within a group; consolidation exposure is beneficial.
Systems:
Experience of Hyperion / group consolidation tools is beneficial; strong Excel skills are essential; exposure to Oracle Fusion is an advantage given the group’s systems and current transition.
Tax awareness: a working awareness of corporation tax and VAT principles.
