On behalf of our client, Franklin London are seeking an experienced Senior House Manager to oversee the smooth, efficient, and discreet running of multiple private residences.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic oversight with operational delivery, liaising with contractors and service providers, managing budgets and ensuring all properties and staff operate at the highest standards.
You will anticipate the needs of the Principal, provide exemplary service when they are in residence, and ensure properties are properly maintained and cared for. When the Principal is away, the role focuses on property management, administration, and preparation for future visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the UK residences.
- Collaborate on the management of the residences abroad.
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, and property security.
- Manage contractors, service providers, budgets, and household records.
- Lead, train, and support household staff, setting high standards of service and discretion.
- Ensure properties are impeccably presented, including deep cleaning and care of fine art, antiques, and bespoke furniture.
- Organise private events, coordinate caterers and service staff, and provide occasional light meal preparation.
- Manage wardrobe, laundry, and packing/unpacking for travel.
- Anticipate and deliver the Principal’s needs with professionalism and discretion.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a House Manager in a HNW/UHNW household.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Proven experience managing contractors, budgets, and household accounts.
- Exceptional attention to detail in property presentation and personal service.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Computer literate and flexible, with willingness to travel.
- Valid UK work rights and passport.
- Impeccable discretion and confidentiality.
- Dog-friendly.
