Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Transport Manager to oversee all aspects of our transportation operations. In this role, you will coordinate delivery schedules, manage driver teams, and ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, uphold safety standards, and foster excellent communication across departments. Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily transportation schedules to optimize delivery routes and efficiency
- Supervise and support a team of drivers, including training, performance management, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including vehicle maintenance and driver hours of service
- Manage delivery documentation, logs, and reports accurately and promptly
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime
- Communicate effectively with warehouse teams, clients, and drivers to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor delivery performance metrics and implement improvements to meet service standards
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations
- Strong driving skills with a valid driver’s license suitable for <PERSON> driver requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to trucks and flatbed vehicles
- Previous warehouse experience is highly advantageous for understanding logistics flow
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, and vendors effectively
- Familiarity with flatbed transportation methods and safety protocols
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
