Are you the specialist Assessor we are looking for, then read on. We are looking for an experienced assessor to join our early years department to support us in delivering our T Level qualifications and the Level 2 Diploma which offer a license to practice. This is a fixed term post for 1 year with the potential to become permanent.
The early years department are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated assessor, reporting to the Curriculum Leader you will be responsible for the effective assessment of the license to practice criteria for the early year’s educator specialism, the assisted teaching specialism and the Level 2 Diploma. This includes the grading of T Level observations and the delivery of the professional practice sessions; both compliment the other. The role requires you to work closely with your NCFE external moderator and employers.
You must have experience of assessing learners in early years settings ideally experience of assessing T Level Early Years Educator and Assisting Teaching and be familiar with the NCFE documentation and moderation processes. A minimum two years of working within the sector is essential. The role requires you to work as part of the early year's team to monitor and track the learner journey and to ensure appropriate support is implemented to maximize timely learner achievement. You should be familiar with quality processes such as close monitoring and tracking candidates to ensure timely success and excellent outcomes for all learners.
You are required to have excellent communication and ICT skills, be highly organised with very good time management skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team, you must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, have a strong work ethic and will share best practice with all members of the department. You will be required to be flexible in your approach with a ‘can-do’, ‘will-do’ attitude.
A relevant Level 3 qualification in early years although it would be desirable to be qualified to Level 4 to 5. A TAQA / A1 and ideally V1 awards is also required for this post.

Have experience of delivering and /or assessing early years related courses and at Level 2 and Level 3 ideally knowledge of T levels.
- Hold an Assessors Award
- This role requires travel within Gateshead and Newcastle areas therefore a driving license would be highly beneficial.
