Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting our accounting functions. This role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organisation. The successful applicant will have experience with various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and record financial transactions using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or FreeAgent
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
- Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner
- Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
- Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and FreeAgent
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within part-time hours
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members effectively
- A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential
Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edinburgh (City of Edinburgh)
