About the Role
As our Head Dental Nurse, you will play an integral role in the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical team. Working closely with our dentists and practice management, you will ensure our patients receive outstanding care while fostering a positive, supportive workplace for the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support the dental nursing team.
- Ensure compliance with CQC, HTM, infection prevention and control, and health and safety standards.
- Coordinate nurse rotas and daily clinical workflows.
- Manage clinical stock levels, place stock orders, and ensure supplies are maintained efficiently.
- Maintain clinical standards, equipment, and stock control systems.
- Support the recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of nursing staff.
- Provide chairside assistance across a range of dental procedures when required.
- Promote an excellent patient experience and a culture of teamwork and professionalism.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse.
- Have previous experience in a senior or leadership role within a dental practice.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Be proactive, reliable, and able to motivate and develop others.
- Have experience managing clinical stock and ordering dental materials and consumables.
- Have a strong understanding of clinical governance and compliance requirements.
- Be passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.
