We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the maintenance department in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and facilities. Duties
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Support the inspection and troubleshooting of equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform basic welding and mechanical repairs as required.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control machinery functions.
- Contribute to the installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are upheld at all times.
- Supervise junior staff or trainees when necessary, providing guidance and leadership.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from internal clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience with electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and general maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in welding techniques with relevant certifications preferred.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
