Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Labourer and be a vital part of our hands-on operation. In this role, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment across various water and waste water treatment plant sites. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth operations and safety standards are met. Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with the installation, assembly, and dismantling of mechanical components and systems
- Support the preparation of work sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up necessary tools and safety barriers
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Conduct basic inspections of mechanical parts for signs of wear or damage, reporting issues promptly
- Help with loading, unloading, and moving materials or equipment as directed by supervisors
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks completed
Experience
- Previous experience in manual labour or construction environments is preferred however, on the job training will be provided
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to mechanical work is an advantage but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: Up to £13.09 per hour
