Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Labourer and be a vital part of our hands-on operation. In this role, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment across various water and waste water treatment plant sites. Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with the installation, assembly, and dismantling of mechanical components and systems
- Support the preparation of work sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up necessary tools and safety barriers
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Conduct basic inspections of mechanical parts for signs of wear or damage, reporting issues promptly
- Help with loading, unloading, and moving materials or equipment as directed by supervisors
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks completed
Experience
- Previous experience in manual labour or construction environments is preferred however, on the job training will be provided
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to mechanical work is an advantage but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: Up to £13.09 per hour
