Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our Care Home. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our 32 bedded care home, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a kind, caring nature. This position offers somewhat flexible hours suitable for those seeking part-time employment with the opportunity to contribute to a professional and friendly working environment. This role will include every other weekend and 2 days in the week on the opposing week.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, and communal spaces according to health and safety standards.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised appropriately, including resident bedrooms, fixtures, and equipment.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed.
- Follow health and safety & infection control procedures diligently to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly.
- Adhere to company policies regarding cleaning protocols and confidentiality.
Experience
- Previous experience in cleaning or care homes is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude are essential for effective teamwork.
