Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to various locations promptly and efficiently, ensuring accurate order fulfilment
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery logs and vehicle checklists
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to minimise risks during operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- Ability to organise workload efficiently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of routes and traffic patterns is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and service quality
