We are seeking an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Paediatrician with neonatal interest.
This is 10PA locum post for Consultant Paediatrician with neonatal interest at the West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of individuals devoted to providing the very best care for our patients.
The post holder will join the existing 7 Neonatal consultants in the delivery of neonatal care and will participate in 1:7 on call rota for weekdays and weekends. They will also have a week in the neonatal unit where they would be required to attend 3 weeks days and cover weekends attending and non-resident on calls. They would also be doing 2 transitional care ward rounds every week. They would be required to attend neonatal grand rounds once a week, neonatal clinical incident group meetings once a month and other departmental meetings. They would have an active role to play in the supervision and training of junior medical staff including ANNP in the care of the babies admitted to the neonatal unit, resuscitation and care of babies in the maternity unit. They would have an active role to support clinical governance activities.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
