Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader Nursery Nurse to oversee and support the daily operations within our nursery setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring their developmental needs are met in accordance with early childhood education standards. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team of childcare professionals while fostering positive relationships with children and their families. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and professional conduct.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns.
- Organise daily routines including meal times, play sessions, rest periods, and learning activities.
- Support staff training and professional development initiatives to enhance team performance.
- Ensure compliance with nursery policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to childcare standards.
- Contribute to the organisation's continuous improvement by participating in team meetings and planning sessions.
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery environment.
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings.
- Strong understanding of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and child development milestones.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Organisational skills that enable effective planning and multitasking in a busy environment.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities; however, not essential.

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,908.16 per year
