We are looking for a training officer with a background in the adult social care sector who has a passion to ensure that our team have the skills and knowledge to make a real difference to our residents.
As a member of the Training and Development Team, you will support the Training and Development Manager, to plan the training schedule, co-ordinate training attendance, update programmes in-line with current practice, deliver training to staff and support the development of team members. The successful applicant must be willing to undertake the Train the Trainer plus Moving and Handling courses.
We are looking for people who have excellent Communication skills (verbal and written), the ability to confidently and positively pass knowledge to others, excellent team working, be approachable, and have experience of using word, excel and PowerPoint.
Previous experience in a care home or healthcare setting is essential to this role. Experience in a similar role that demonstrates the delivery of training would be advantageous, However, we will provide all the necessary training to enable you to deliver our inhouse training programme for the team. For the successful applicant there is the potential of in addition to this role working some shifts as part of our care team.
Hours: Part-time (up to 29.5 hours) on a rota basis and may include the occasional weekend work.
