Dignity Rose Therapeutic Pathway is a specialist alternative provision based in Waltham Abbey, supporting young people experiencing barriers to education, emotional wellbeing difficulties, EBSA, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Our approach is relationship-based, trauma-informed and centred on helping young people rebuild confidence, develop emotional regulation skills and successfully re-engage with learning and wider opportunities.

The Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as Sessional Therapeutic Support Workers.
This is a flexible, term-time role offered on a sessional basis, with hours provided according to student referrals and provision needs.
Typical hours are 9:00am–3:00pm during term time.
You will support young people through:
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Encouraging engagement in learning and enrichment activities
- Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing
- Promoting independence and social development
- Assisting with daily routines and structured activities
- Recording observations and contributing to session notes
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately
- Participating in training, supervision and team meetings
Person Specification
We welcome applications from individuals with experience in:
- Education
- Youth work
- Learning support
- Behaviour mentoring
- Residential childcare
- Community work
- Sports coaching
- Pastoral support
Previous SEMH or therapeutic experience is desirable but not essential, as training and ongoing supervision will be provided.
Essential Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people
- Calm and consistent approach to supporting behaviour
- Commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
Pay and Working Arrangements
- Self-employed or sessional basis
- Term time only
- Flexible working according to referrals
- Typical hours: 9:00am–3:00pm
- £15–£22 per hour depending on experience
- Training and supervision provided
- Location: Waltham Abbey
Pay: £15.00-£22.00 per hour
