Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Panel Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing solar panels on residential and commercial properties, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. Duties
- Safely transporting, handling, and installing solar panels and related equipment on various sites.
- Assembling mounting systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary.
- Ensuring all installations comply with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Conducting site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels for maximum efficiency.
- Connecting electrical components, including wiring solar panels to inverters and other system parts.
- Performing routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting any issues during installation or post-installation phases.
- Assisting with site preparation activities such as excavation using excavators or manual tools when required.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout each project phase.
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely within designated timeframes.
Experience
- Prior experience with electrical systems, mechanical installation, or renewable energy projects is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to mounting systems and structural components is preferred.
- Experience operating excavators or similar machinery will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring standards and safety regulations related to photovoltaic systems is beneficial.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
