Production Administrator

About the Role:
The Production Administrator provides administrative support to the production team, ensuring accurate record-keeping, efficient workflow coordination, and timely communication across departments. The role helps maintain production schedules, monitor inventory and materials, and support compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update production schedules, records, and databases.
- Prepare production reports and spreadsheets
- Coordinate with production team, procurement teams, and warehouse staff.
- Process production orders and work instructions.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control activities.
- Track material usage and production output.
- Help to maintain accurate documentation for quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Organize meetings, take minutes, and distribute relevant information.
- Assist with purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery tracking.
- Support audits by preparing and retrieving required documentation.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in a warehouse or production environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including basic Excel & MRP System.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with ERP/MRP or production management systems e.g. SAP is advantageous.
- Can do Attitude
- Maintaining paperwork within planning schedules and able to coordinate within any department within the business where required
Education and Experience:
- GCSEs, A-Levels, or equivalent qualifications.
- Diploma or certification in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field is desirable.
- 1–3 years of administrative experience in a production, manufacturing, or operations setting preferred.
