-
Designing and delivering engaging, practical learning programmes for teams across Purple Dragon and Nexus brands in the UK.
- Creating high-quality training materials including presentations, facilitator guides, workbooks, activities, scenarios and supporting resources.
- Owning the delivery and ongoing development of our induction and onboarding experience.
- Bringing our culture, Values and Building Blocks to life through meaningful and relevant learning.
- Designing and delivering service excellence training that supports an exceptional member experience.
- Developing teams in areas including communication, teamwork, ownership, accountability, complaints handling and service recovery.
- Reinforcing our solutions-focused approach
- Working with the Group Head of People & Culture to deliver management and leadership development.

- Spending regular time within our clubs to understand operational challenges and identify learning and development opportunities.
- Coordinating mandatory and compliance training and maintaining accurate training records.
- Supporting induction and learning requirements for new club openings and future business growth.
About You
We are looking for an experienced L&D or training professional who is engaging, creative and practical, with a genuine passion for helping people develop.
You will bring:
-
Experience within Learning & Development, Training or People Development with a hospitality setting (hotels, restaurants, private members clubs)
- Strong facilitation, presentation and training design skills.
- Experience creating engaging and practical learning materials.
- The ability to turn business needs or complex information into clear, accessible and relevant learning.
- Strong coaching, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting management or leadership development.
- Confidence working with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage priorities across multiple teams and locations.
- A positive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
- High personal standards and a genuine commitment to developing others.
- The flexibility to travel between Purple Dragon locations when required.
Experience working within hospitality, luxury service, leisure, membership, children’s services or another high-touch customer environment would be a real advantage.
Why Purple Dragon?
This is an opportunity to have a genuine impact on how our people learn and develop as Purple Dragon continues to grow.
You won’t be delivering training from a manual or sitting behind a desk all day. You will have the opportunity to understand our teams, create learning that responds to real operational needs and see the difference your work makes in our clubs.
We believe exceptional member experiences start with confident, knowledgeable and engaged teams. If you love developing people, creating learning that people actually want to take part in and seeing that learning come to life in the workplace, we would love to hear from you.
