We are looking for a new member to join our growing NPD team in the role of process technologist. The successful candidate will need to have experience of food manufacturing and good knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment. They will work with the product from its creation in the kitchen through to its launch in production.
This is a Monday to Friday role, working 9am to 5pm. Although there may some occasions where work hours differ to match the needs of the business, including weekend launches or customer visits.
Job Role:
Product Launches – in accordance with
1. Trial planning, prep, execution, paperwork and assessment
2. Assess results from samples and work towards improvements where required
3. Budget / overhead management of relevant areas
4. Arrange all test samples – AW, shelf-life, packaging
5. Organise & carry out Transit Trials
6. Arrange all 1st production / pre-listing samples
7. Organoleptic testing with creative
8. Complete QAS
9. Ensure that Pre-launch meetings happen
10. Launch process completion (paperwork, samples, comms)
11. HACCP approval
12. Attend taste panels, product tastings and all relevant meetings as required
13. Organise factory samples as required (Brandbank, customer, benchmarking etc)
14. Support across departments during the launch process
15. Prepare for and attend relevant customer visits (Technical, Product or Buying)
16. Provide process advice at creative stage.
17. Be involved with feasibility sign off for new lines / processes
