A full-time opportunity has become available to join our friendly and dedicated team in Exmouth.
This role involves working across our three residential homes in Exmouth, which are all located within a few minutes of each other. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week across five days on a rota basis, including every other weekend and sleep-in shifts when required.

As our service continues to expand, we are seeking a committed individual to join our growing team and help deliver high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and other support needs.
The role is key to empowering the people we support to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Person-Centred Support
- Build positive and trusting relationships with the people you support.
- Understand individual needs, preferences, and personal goals.
- Support individuals to make choices and maintain independence in their daily lives.
- Work collaboratively to implement and review person-centred support plans.
Daily Living Skills
- Provide support with personal care where required.
- Assist with meal preparation, shopping, and household tasks.
- Encourage and develop independent living skills such as budgeting, managing appointments, and medication support.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
Community Engagement
- Support individuals to access and participate in community activities.
- Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, and recreational activities.
- Encourage the development of friendships, social networks, and community connections.
- Promote inclusion and active participation within the local community.
Health and Wellbeing
- Support individuals to attend medical and health appointments.
- Administer medication safely and accurately in line with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental wellbeing.
- Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and overall wellbeing.
Record Keeping and Communication
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including daily notes, medication records, and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, families, and external professionals.
- Attend team meetings, supervision sessions, and training as required.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or other support needs is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and positive approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred due to working across multiple services.
