Overview
We are currently expanding our facilities to become a six-surgery site and are looking for a dedicated, qualified Dental Nurse to join our thriving team.

As a Qualified Dental Nurse, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality clinical support and helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the practice. You will work closely with our clinicians and wider team to provide every patient with a positive, comfortable and professional experience from the moment they arrive.

Duties
- Assisting dentists and hygienists during a wide range of dental procedures.
- Ensuring all required instruments, equipment and materials are prepared and available before treatment.
- Providing professional chairside support while helping patients feel comfortable and reassured.
- Cleaning, decontaminating and sterilising instruments in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating information as required.
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Communicating effectively with patients regarding treatment, aftercare and oral hygiene.
- Supporting clinicians and colleagues to maintain an efficient and seamless patient journey.
- Carrying out a high standard of Infection Control and central sterilisation
- Monitoring and maintaining appropriate levels of clinical stock and materials.
- Supporting administrative and reception duties when required.
- Following all practice policies, procedures and relevant professional guidelines.
- Maintaining your GDC registration and completing the required continuing professional development.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant must:
- Hold a recognised dental nursing qualification.
- Be registered with the General Dental Council.
- Have excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner.
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Be compassionate and able to reassure nervous or anxious patients.
- Have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Be comfortable using IT systems and dental practice software.
- Work well as part of a busy and supportive team.
- Be reliable, punctual and hard-working.
- Be willing to use their initiative appropriately.
- Be enthusiastic about learning and continuing their professional development.
