Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Head Housekeeper to support the management of our housekeeping team. This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction within our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and janitorial services, with a proactive approach to team leadership and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure standards of cleanliness are consistently met.
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules and allocate tasks efficiently among team members.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen, placing orders when necessary.
- Support guest requests promptly and professionally, resolving any issues related to cleanliness or service.
- Assist in onboarding new staff members and conducting performance evaluations.
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Proven janitorial experience demonstrating knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and guest service excellence is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanour.
