About the Role
Wrexham has a strong industrial and engineering base and at IMR Crane and Lifting Services we support customers who rely on safe dependable lifting equipment for day to day operations.
We are looking for a Crane Service Technician who can inspect maintain troubleshoot and repair cranes and lifting equipment across workshop and customer site environments.
You will work closely with service coordinators engineers workshop teams and customers to help keep equipment safe available and operating reliably.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on cranes hoists and associated lifting equipment.
Fault Diagnosis: Investigate mechanical electrical and hydraulic faults and identify practical repair solutions.
Repair Work: Complete repairs component replacements adjustments and routine servicing in accordance with technical requirements.
Inspection Support: Assist with equipment inspections and identify wear damage or defects that may affect safe operation.
Field Service: Attend customer sites to complete maintenance fault finding and repair work when required.
Workshop Support: Carry out servicing preparation and repair activities within the workshop environment.
Service Documentation: Complete accurate job sheets maintenance records inspection notes and parts information after each assignment.
Customer Communication: Explain completed work identified issues and recommended follow up actions clearly and professionally.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in crane maintenance lifting equipment mechanical engineering field service heavy equipment or a closely related technical role.
Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of mechanical systems electrical components hydraulics and equipment maintenance practices.
Fault Finding: Able to diagnose technical problems methodically and identify appropriate repair or maintenance actions.
Practical Skills: Confident using workshop tools testing equipment and maintenance procedures in both site and workshop environments.
Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safe working practices and the importance of following lifting equipment and site safety procedures.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers engineers and service teams.
Organisation: Able to manage assigned service work maintain accurate records and complete tasks within agreed schedules.
Mindset: You are practical dependable and safety focused. You take ownership of technical problems work carefully and consistently and stay focused on keeping lifting equipment reliable safe and ready for operation.
Pay: £2,700.00-£3,200.00 per month
