Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technology Solutions Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing complex IT systems and solutions across various platforms. Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of technology solutions, including system design, deployment, and integration across diverse platforms such as AWS, Azure, VMware, and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams and documentation to support scalable and secure IT environments.
- Configure and manage network components including VPNs, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, and load balancing to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Administer operating systems such as Windows, Linux, UNIX, and ESXi; perform system updates, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Design and develop APIs using RESTful services, SOAP protocols, and web services to facilitate seamless data exchange between applications.
- Utilise scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python, Ruby on Rails, VBA, C++, C#, JavaScript, and Java for automation and system enhancement tasks.
- Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git to streamline development workflows.
- Manage databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server with expertise in T-SQL and PL/SQL for data management solutions.
- Ensure information security through firewall configuration, VPN setup, access controls, and adherence to best practices in cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on systems engineering projects involving microservices architecture, service-oriented architecture (SOA), DevOps practices, and system administration.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to system design or network configurations; perform debugging using industry-standard tools.
- Support the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process by participating in planning sessions from initial design through testing and deployment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in computer networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls & network security protocols.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with virtualisation technologies like VMware ESXi or similar is essential.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, C++, Ruby on Rails; scripting skills in Bash or Shell Scripting are highly desirable.
- Extensive experience with operating systems such as Windows Server environments; Linux/Unix expertise is required.
- Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database & Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of T-SQL & PL/SQL is advantageous.
- Understanding of modern software development methodologies including SDLC & DevOps practices; experience with Jenkins & Git is preferred.
- Knowledge of API development using RESTful services & SOAP; experience with web services integration is essential.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment; excellent problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are desirable but not mandatory.
