The Lead Asset Data & Information Analyst is responsible for managing asset information and data updates within CMMS/CAFM systems, ensuring all changes are controlled, documented, and managed through a risk-based process.
The role supports the accuracy, reliability, and auditability of asset data by carrying out data checks, reconciliations, and quality reviews.
Job Description
Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for asset data management, CMMS/CAFM systems, and associated processes, the Lead Asset Data & Information Analyst provides specialist knowledge and guidance across the function.
The role creates dashboards, reports, and performance insights to support decision-making, ensure compliance, maximise asset value throughout the asset lifecycle, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate asset data changes within CMMS/CAFM/EAM systems, ensuring a structured, controlled, and auditable approach.
- Maintain accurate and reliable asset information through data checks, reconciliations, quality monitoring, and performance reviews.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for asset data management, systems, and associated processes, providing specialist guidance across the function.
- Create dashboards, reports, and performance insights to support decision-making, compliance, and asset lifecycle management.
- Review and manage change requests and forms, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust governance controls.
- Drive automation opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance data management processes.
- Apply asset management systems knowledge, data structures, and best practices to support effective information management.
- Collaborate with technical, operational, and governance stakeholders to support continuous improvement and data quality.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Experience operating within asset management, facilities management, or maintenance environments, with working knowledge of PPM regimes and asset data.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate, analyse, and present complex datasets.
- Strong experience managing asset data changes within CMMS/CAFM/EAM systems in a structured and auditable manner.
- Experience with asset management systems, including Maximo and Tririga, with the ability to manage, analyse, and maintain asset data effectively.
- Ability to create sophisticated dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business decisions.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage high-volume structured data accurately.
- Strong understanding of data governance, risk management, audit discipline, and continuous improvement processes.
- Effective collaboration skills, with confidence engaging technical, operational, and governance stakeholders across functions.
