Step Into Teaching is working with a welcoming secondary school in Derby to recruit an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant for a September start.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real classroom experience, develop your confidence and make a positive impact on young people's academic progress and wellbeing.
The Role
Working alongside experienced teachers, you will support students across the school and help create a positive environment where young people can thrive.
You could be involved in:
- Supporting teachers during lessons.
- Working one-to-one and with small groups of students.
- Helping students with their classwork and understanding of key concepts.
- Supporting students with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Encouraging students who may lack confidence or motivation.
- Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines.
- Helping students develop independence and resilience.
- Building positive relationships with students.
- Assisting with classroom resources and activities.
- Providing pastoral and academic support where required.
