We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and dedicated Commercial Body Builder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring commercial vehicle bodies with precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Construct, assemble, and install commercial vehicle bodies according to specifications and customer requirements.
- Repair and refurbish existing vehicle bodies, ensuring durability and safety standards are met.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, weld, and assemble components accurately.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle large panels, frames, and other materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Inspect completed work for defects or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
- Experience operating power tools including drills, grinders, welders, and cutting machines.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, demonstrating physical strength and stamina.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
