We're looking for a practical, reliable and friendly person to help maintain our busy community centre. You'll help provide a welcoming, safe and well-maintained environment for local people using our community centre on two floors, providing many services including; lunches, welfare advice, family support, education and community activities.
Typical hours (subject to change)
Tuesday: 10.00am–5.00pm
Wed - 2 hours (flexy)
Thursday: 10.00am–12.30pm
Friday: 10.00am–12.30pm
Occasional additional flexible hours by agreement
Main duties
Caretaking and facilities support
Cleaning communal areas, toilets and kitchen when the Cleaner is not on duty
Supporting the Tuesday community lunch with clearing away and kitchen clean afterwards
Minor repairs and DIY
Room set-up for groups and activities
Deliveries, stock organisation and contractor liaison
Helping keep the Centre safe, clean and welcoming
We're looking for someone who is
Experienced in caretaking, cleaning or maintenance
Practical, organised and able to work independently
Friendly and respectful with staff, volunteers and Centre users
Health and safety aware
Physically able to move furniture, receive deliveries and undertake minor maintenance
