Are you an experienced chef looking for your next challenge and the opportunity to develop your career? If you want career progression, training and stable, year-round employment, Daish’s Holidays could be the perfect fit for you.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and talented Sous Chef to support our Head Chefs and kitchen teams in delivering great-quality food for our guests.
All-year-round employment | Fantastic employee benefits | Daish’s Training Academy
What will you be doing?
As a Sous Chef, you'll play an important role in supporting the Head Chef and helping to lead the kitchen team. You'll be responsible for preparing and delivering good-quality meals for up to 150 guests, with breakfast and dinner services delivered within our efficient 45-minute service window.
Our kitchens operate slightly differently to a traditional restaurant. Guests generally choose from set menus and meals are prepared in advance, meaning there is no traditional cook-to-order service. Preparation, organisation and teamwork are key to success.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Producing high-quality food as directed by the Head Chef and independently preparing dishes where required.
- Supporting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen and food service.
- Helping to implement menus and contribute to new and existing menu creations.
- Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation across all meals served to our guests.
- Supporting and training new members of the kitchen team.
- Working with the Head Chef to ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and ready for service.
- Assisting with daily stock replenishment and monthly stocktaking when required.
- Supporting the Head Chef with food cost control and effective stock management.
- Maintaining required food safety records.
- Ensuring food is prepared, stored and served in accordance with food safety legislation and company procedures.
- Following company Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures at all times.
- Supporting the team during busy services and maintaining high standards while working under pressure.
- Helping to maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
- Working as part of a team to deliver the standards and values expected across Daish’s Hotels.

We're looking for an experienced chef who is confident working in a busy commercial kitchen and is ready to take the next step in their career.
We're looking for someone who is:
