A growing precision engineering business that supplies the automotive, motorsport, aerospace and defence sectors are looking to add a skilled CNC Turner to their expanding team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on prototype and low-volume production, setting and operating advanced CNC lathes while producing components to exceptionally tight tolerances. You'll also have the opportunity to support process improvements, prove out new components and work alongside Engineering, Quality and CAM teams to deliver world-class products.
The Role
- Set and operate CNC turning centres
- Manufacture complex, high-precision components
- Produce prototype and low-volume work
- Make tool offsets and optimise machining processes
- Carry out in-process inspection using manual measuring equipment
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to maintain the highest standards
About You
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner within a precision engineering environment
- Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls (ideally)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Strong understanding of tooling, cutting data and machining techniques
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
