Stoneycroft Family Hub, Yew Tree & West Derby Children Centre
Salary: £25,185 pro-rata (£13.80 per hour)
17.5 to 21 hours per week (9:00 am – 5 pm over 2.5 days or 3 days more likely Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Contract: 3 to 6 months, depending on funding

Are you passionate about supporting families and helping children get the best start in life? We’re looking for a dedicated and motivated
Community Engagement Worker to join our team and work directly with families across North Liverpool.
This role is key to supporting children's development and school readiness. You will connect with families in disadvantaged areas, delivering vital information and guidance on child health, development, and access to local services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with families registered at the Children’s Centre
- Conduct home visits and community outreach
- Share information on child health, development, and school readiness
- Signpost families to services and resources
- Build trusting, supportive relationships with families
You will rotate weekly across the following areas:
About You:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- A Level 2 qualification in Early Years or above
- Good knowledge of the local Liverpool community
- Experience of community and engagement work
- Motivation, empathy, and strong communication skills
- A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- An enhanced DBS check (required)
Contract Details:
- 17.5 to 21 hours hours per week over 2.5 days or 3 days
- Working hours: 9:00am – 5pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
