Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Goods In / Warehouse Operative to join our busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming stock, ensuring accurate recording and storage, and supporting the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods.
- Utilise warehouse management electronic systems to record stock movements accurately.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and organisation within designated storage areas.
- Clean items in real time for production
- Preform housekeeping duties that include clean of racking that involes working at heights with MEWP
- Assist with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks to fulfil orders efficiently.
- Load and unload lorries using mechanical handling equipment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Support stock counts and inventory management activities regularly to maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse operations and improve workflow processes.
- Transportation of items utilises vehicles
- ADR trained (full training can be give for this).
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar logistics roles.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is desirable.
- Valid forklift licence
- Strong materials handling skills with an understanding of lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of stock control procedures including picking & packing, shipping & receiving.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Physical fitness for lifting and manual handling tasks involved in warehousing activities. This role offers a vital contribution to our logistics operations, requiring a proactive approach combined with technical competence in warehouse management practices.
Working 40 Hrs per week as requirements dictate , Compulsory overtime but not guaranteed in line with business requirements
A Full driving licence is required
Pay: £28,080.00 per year
