About Square Box Media
Square Box Media is a growing property-media company producing professional photography, cinematic video, social media content, drone imagery and floorplans for estate agents, developers and property brands.
We are looking for a confident and creative Media & Content Specialist to join our team.
Enthusiasm to learn and work hard is essential not necessarily experience!
This is a varied role combining property photography, videography, social media content creation and post-production. You will work on location at properties, estate agency offices and monthly content days, before helping turn the captured material into polished client-ready media.
The role would suit someone who enjoys both producing content and being involved in the creative process from initial idea through to final delivery.
The role
You will help create professional media for property listings and social media campaigns.
Your week may include photographing a new property, filming a cinematic home tour, capturing an estate agent presenting to camera, producing short-form social content and editing the finished material.
You will work closely with Lewis, Lillie and Daniel to maintain Square Box Media’s visual standards and deliver a consistent service across multiple client accounts.
Main responsibilities
- Photograph residential properties using HDR bracketed photography.
- Capture professional property video using mirrorless cameras and stabilised equipment.
- Produce vertical social media reels for Instagram and Facebook.
- Film estate agents and business owners presenting to camera.
- Capture behind-the-scenes, team, lifestyle and local-area content.
- Support planned monthly content days for estate agency clients.
- Help develop content ideas, hooks, shot lists and simple scripts.
- Operate drones where qualified, authorised and appropriate.
- Capture property measurements and floorplan information where required.
- Edit photography using Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Edit property films and social reels using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Add music, subtitles, branding, graphics and sound design.
- Select the strongest images and footage from each shoot.
- Organise files, footage, project folders and client deliveries.
- Follow established presets, templates and production workflows.
- Meet agreed turnaround times without compromising quality.
- Communicate professionally with estate agents, vendors and homeowners.
- Represent Square Box Media confidently while working on location.
Social media and content responsibilities
- Help plan monthly content for estate agency and property clients.
- Capture enough material during content days to support a full month of posting.
- Produce talking-head reels, team introductions and educational videos.
- Create property teasers, listing highlights and behind-the-scenes content.
- Adapt footage for different platforms and aspect ratios.
- Suggest creative ideas based on client campaigns and current property stock.
- Assist with captions, content organisation and scheduling where required.
- Ensure every piece of content reflects the client’s brand and tone of voice.
Essential skills and experience
- Experience with photography, videography or professional content creation.
- Confident using a mirrorless or DSLR camera in manual mode.
- Understanding of exposure, composition, lighting and white balance.
- Experience editing video using Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software.
- Experience editing images using Lightroom and Photoshop.
- An understanding of vertical video and social-first content.
- Strong attention to detail and visual consistency.
- Excellent organisation and file-management skills.
- Able to work independently while following established processes.
- Confident communicating with clients and members of the public.
- Comfortable travelling between appointments.
- Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport.
Desirable experience
- Property, architectural or interior photography.
- HDR bracket photography and window-pull editing.
- Gimbal operation and cinematic camera movement.
- Drone photography or videography.
- Presenting, interviewing or directing people on camera.
- Social media planning and content scheduling.
- Floorplan capture or property-measurement software.
- Motion graphics, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.
- Experience producing content for estate agents or property brands.
Property-media experience would be beneficial, but training can be provided to someone with strong creative ability, a professional attitude and a good understanding of photography and video.
