Hue House is a long-established interiors business based in Orpington, with over 60 years' experience crafting and installing bespoke curtains, Roman blinds, and shading solutions for homeowners, interior designers and architects across the South East.
Our workroom is at the heart of what we do. Every piece we make is individually produced to exact specifications, from premium fabrics, for clients who notice the difference. As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a talented, experienced maker to join our small, close-knit team.
This is a role for someone who has earned their craft and who holds themselves to a standard they're proud of.
What You'll Be Making
- Bespoke curtains across a full range of headings, pinch pleat, goblet, pencil pleat, eyelet, and more
- Roman blinds constructed to precise measurements, with clean folding, accurate spacing, and consistent finish
- Work involving a wide range of fabric types, weights, linings, and interlinings
- Technically complex or bespoke pieces that require a skilled, careful hand
The Person We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a curtain maker with strong technical knowledge across headings and finishes
- Confident, skilled Roman blind maker, you know the tapes, the battens, the lining options
- An eye for detail that you can't switch off, pattern matching, precision, clean edges
- Someone who works with consistency whether it's the first job of the day or the last
- Calm, reliable, and professional, a good person to have in the workroom
- Experience in a bespoke or interiors environment is highly desirable
