Teach are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of mainstream primary schools. We have opportunities available on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers, helping pupils achieve their learning goals, and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
The Role
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning.
- Assisting pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting classroom management.
- Preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom activities.
- Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and overall wellbeing.
- Supporting children throughout the school day as required.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school.
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Be confident supporting pupils across a range of abilities.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Be passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
