Reliance Couriers is seeking reliable and motivated Delivery Drivers to join our team. As a contracted delivery partner for DPD, you will be responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of parcels to residential and commercial customers. The role requires excellent time management, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect parcels from the designated DPD depot and load them safely into the delivery vehicle.
- Deliver parcels to customers efficiently within the assigned delivery route and schedule.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately using handheld scanning devices or mobile delivery applications.
- Obtain proof of delivery, including customer signatures or photographic confirmation when required.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies while operating the vehicle.
- Handle parcels with care to prevent damage or loss.
- Report any delivery issues, delays, or customer concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic condition of the delivery vehicle.
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the delivery vehicle.
- Age must be above 25
- Previous delivery or courier experience is preferred but not essential.
- Good knowledge of local routes and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift and carry parcels of varying weights.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet daily delivery targets.
- Flexible availability, including weekends if required.
